Getting into E scrap and gold recovery, is this lot a good deal?

Not to be smart a** but another question better asked on the gold forum. There may be some on here that do refine, perhaps one of those will answer. For the most part refining processes are not generally discussed here and are not encouraged.

There are no bidders on that one for a reason....

When i did my refining project i started with 4 ounces of gold fingers and recovered not close to what i wanted.

Wow, there wasn't even a pound of fingers there, but I'll be surprised if someone doesn't jump on that thinking they'll get rich.

I will give you the standard warning I give about the gold recovery...leave it to the experts. The guys over at the Goldrefiningforum aren't going to share a lot of yields with you. I would suggest going out and finding some Free or nearly free items that are just the same as whet you see there. There is a LOT of heavy Plastic weight in those printer cable ends, and a couple of newer processors and a few fingers isn't going to recoup your expense.

He ran $36 worth of processors (From Ewasted's price guide) and recovered $21 in gold.....Collect free stuff and sell to one of the buyers here...then BUY gold...

I have not refined them my self so I can test to the recovery rate that he had. But that could be based on HOW he recovered the gold. On somethings its best you do it this way or that way. So its something you have to play with and work out all the details over time to get the best return.
