    Newbie with a few questions

Hi my name is Greg, I'm so glad that this forum is here for scrap help.
I have a few questions, some of the IC chips that i'm coming across are square and some are rectangular. are the square ones worth more than the rectangular?

Also I have some of the older type RAM chips that do not have the gold fingers, should I remove the IC's from them and toss them with all my others?

I also have various PCI cards, are they worth more intact or should i remove the IC's and gold fingers?

Thanks for any help that anyone can give.

Spend some time reading this section as well as the buyers section. Both will answer your questions easily. But, for starters, don't go doing that removing stuff until you have read.

As Parrothead was saying, if you just start removing things before reading up you may make a $4.00 5.00 part into a .25 part by downgrading. Like the commercial says; "don't make the $100. mistake". http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/showt...identification
