hmmm.... lol. The Booster Club for my sister's team approached me about trying to help them make more money. You think that it's worth it?
For 50 bucks, you'd make plenty of money off that!
Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

That pile is a few grand worth of scrap. If you live by it you would be a fool not to grab it.

I'm 2.5 hours if not a little bit more. Does that count as near?

that's what I am concerned about. I don't want to put forth all the effort/money just to break even you know. That's if I do it for myself - I would hate for that to happen if I was to try and do this for the team...
Julie, if you win the bid and I think others will jump on it, this could get you really in the ewaste game. You will need a large storage space to work from and borrow/rent a big truck. There is a lot more than just winning the bid. May be instead of doing it for the team do it for yourself then win or loose its all on you. If you make a big bundle then send some to the team. Best of luck, Mike.

Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked
That's kinda what I was thinking that way it takes some of the pressure off and I'm actually making some cash for the time I'm putting into it.
Julie don't take this the wrong way but, are ready for this? I don't know what Cali's ewaste laws are but you might have trouble with the monitors. It looks like a lot of work, and the no cherry picking might mean you're expected to do a clean up.
I am ready for anything! Just kidding - that would be a naive thing to say. I've actually already considered all the angles that I can think of but feel free to fill anything that I may have overlooked (this is for anyone) ~pick-up- have either a flatbed truck or truck with trailer combo that I can use. ~storage- I can keep it at the shop or I can clear out a section of the pod that my stuff is in. ~processing- have the boyfriend at home needing something to do b/c there are no jobs in grass valley yet. ~monitors- there is always some kind of fundraiser that is going on that will gladly take them from me and get paid a little more for them from that company that was heading the teams fundraiser.
Sounds like you may be ready to take it on. Please take photo's, some times its the only entretainment I get. Mike.
If this all goes through I will take a bunch of pictures! They're just going to be from my crappy cell phone camera though.
Sounds like you got it ready. go for it.
He means that you have to take everything in that pile wood and all. Its part of the job. If you end up having to do this im sure plenty of advise can be given in how to do it properly.
ohhh so this is a normal thing that happens in situations like these? Please enlighten me! I'm always willing to learn and I don't want to go into this situation and be rude because i didn't know any better.
Take a good look at the pics as there is tires and other trash in there. You may want to ask them if anything has been stripped from anything...would hate to see you end up with a bunch of carcasses. It would be nice if you could look at the pile first.
