It really does pay to research before scrapping

So this guy who brought in a load of apple computer stuff
also left me with this one computer something told me not to scrap.
I kind of forgot about it and decided today to research on it.

Turns out its a lear siegler ADM5
I looked on ebay one is going for $40 with a day left
so gotta be more then scrap value if that's the case then it always
pays to research stuff before scrapping never know when you'll get lucky.

It comes on when I plugged it but looks like it needs some kind of console?
I have no idea I never seen or used one before but sounds like they hard to come by.

It's not a computer, it's a terminal. What condition is it in? Any photos? Are you going to put it up on eBay or what? And the biggest question: do you guys ever get any other 70s/80s-era computer equipment?

Cool Xezlec Welcome to SMF! On the main page near the bottom there's an introduction thread, you might find it helpful to say hello there and a little introduction. It isn't uncommon to see vintage computers discussed here, and too many times only after the fact, but I've been trying to spread the word, to those who are of a mind to prolong the life of some of them. I made the mistake of scrapping a number of them myself, before knowing what I was dealing with

It sold for $355 but this one has graphic enhancement so not sure how much of a drop value it would have but pretty cool none the less.

Ah thanks for the correction! I haven't took any pics yet. Its in pretty good condition and im not sure if I will put it on ebay that thing is heavy.
You would have to search the forms there might be some vintage stuff other guys have.

Couple years back my son purchased an Apple Woz at a yard sale for $20.00, it went to a buyer in Japan.

If your not spending time to research, your sure to loose on profits. I've spent countless hours reading through my buyers and bidders feedback to see what interests them.

The common denominator being that they had bid on something I had offered for sale. The apple does not fall far from the tree.

Why is it worth so much? I have a few & can't find a good price for it here in NZ. I'll probably just put them aside but I was going to scrap them for the gold.
