Still trying to chunk through my whale...

After driving an entire load to ewasted down in Ohio (which was a VERY pleasant experience) and fishing in over $1600...I am about half way through. xD There are a few computers that I've taken apart that I thought would interest you guys. I have a few of this one type that has gold CPU's soldered directly to the board...are these worth taking off? I heard yes. I took one apart and on my trip to Ohio and got telecom grade for them, but I have 2 more to break down. Pics to come soon. Here is a computer that I took apart today that I thought was pretty good.

As I started breaking it down:

What I ended up with, minus the shred, a few gold connectors, power supply, and wire:

Yeah that's great and all...but...CAN I SCRAP IT!?

The boards with the chips soldered on the board that you have there....don't take less than $8 a pound for them.

Thank you for the tip. So I should leave the chips on? What about that one with excessive gold?

If you try to take the chip off it will brake and crack. So its best to leave it on it. On top of that it bumps the whole board price up.

Som ceramics will not move HOWEVER take a small flat head and try prying them off. If they arent soldered on they will come out. pending on the type of CPU your looking at 30-130 per pound. its ok to try just look closly if it moves up
