I stacked a bunch of lead batteries from UPSs and the like on my porch. Wanted to take them to a scrap yard right away but then could not. They have been there for about 2 weeks now and several time it rained hard. Are these batteries going to become a hazard? That is, are they going to start leaching lead into the ground every time it rains?

They are sealed batteries so not problem with the rain. Mike.
