Hey brooks, been awhile glad to see you're back!

eproms have windows ontop. As for as telling the difference between proms and ic chips im not exactly sure. I was told that all of the ceramic chips that i had where ic chips. The proms seem to be mostly plastic. A little tip on the eproms is that the window is usually covered with a sticker.

All in this photo are considered and/or sold as gold/gold window eproms? I would've guessed those at upper left corner were cpu's. I have quite a few like the one at upper right stamped with "0184" with gold cap and gold connectors. Wasn't sure though how to categorize them. What about the first four in the second row with black "caps"?

I am NOT an expert by any means but I would say the first two (upper left) are cpu's the rest are gold cap IC chips the second row is standard IC chips the reast are Eproms. If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

While we're on the subject I have some questions about the board in the attached (hopefully) photo.

Starting at top left corner. The socketed Nortel window eprom. I've already taken a small chip off of one corner trying to remove it. Does chipping around the edges affect value? To it's right, gold colored ic's across top of board. IC's can be any color and it really means nothing? Right below ic's, are these two(1 w/grease & 1 w/o) eproms or processors? Below them, four with Texas Instruements logo, eproms? To their left, gold center w/gold border, eprom? Bottom center, w/V I F across top, held at an angle, a layer of gold can be seen, processor? Would you sell this board whole?

Like I said in my earlier post I am not an expert but I would sell that board like it is to my local buyer. You might want to send that pic. to Easyrecycle or Ewasted, you can find both of them in the buyers section of this forum and they will give you a quote. Should get more than high grade for it.

Do gold cap IC's sell for the same price as gold window eproms? Or would they be higher or lower?

Easy ain't active here anymore. I'd recommend attempting to find a buyer who wanted the chips, or even listing it properly on Ebay would likely get you a better return than by the pound ever would
