Hey you seem to monitor that site a bit. I wonder if we ever butted heads on an auction?

well that's like 15 minutes away from me. I don't know how to recycle/make money off these, but I'm sure if it goes for a decent price I could figure it out by browsing this site
Hmm im like 2 hours from there if I bid on this how many of you guys I gotta compete with lol.
I just started putting bids out on items around my area. But that's about it, the bidding thing isn't working well lol. I got wiped out on 4 auctions in the last 5 seconds. Just trying to make some money on a few things within a reasonable distance from me. I bid on stuff in Jersey mostly. The price of gas and or hiring a TT Driver and a truck for big lots isn't feasible for me.
I use a server power supply for a 12v power supply, can't beat them for the price.
anybody onhere get it? any idea what that would be worth?
High Bidder: C*************C

Govdeals IS HORRIBLE in NJ for trying to computer scrap. its always about the people who can refurbish.
I am about 2 hour away also. I have done a lot of servers of that type. The selling price seemed a bit high for me. I am sure who ever bought them, bought them to re-purpose them and not as scrap. I did 5 of the Proliant 3000 servers today and the scrap value just is not there for me. I am sure there are many people who know tons more than I do about getting people who pay more for boards and such.
There may a million better places to live than Iowa, but none of them are home!
parting them out is usually the best way to go. Memory, CPUs, power supplies, motherboards, even parts like drive trays sometimes sell extremely well
check the bid history. I believe that s***a was a shill bidder, or maybe their own automated one? NO serious bidder EVER bids one dollar UNDER the next "hump", ONE dollar OVER it is one who's there to win, never one dollar under it! ($501, yes, but $499, Never) I truly believe that bidder had insider info of their "opponents" high bid

Most refurb guys look for DELL/Gateway/emachine towers to resell, they wouldn't touch those old servers. Is there $500 in scrap there?
that was a good buy !
@ olddude. Good Buy? When you say that was a good buy are you referring to scrap value, resale of parts and components, or are you just being BSing?
guess in todays market I should have said that was an ok buy. on those auctions I have seen them go for way higher. depending on the server they should scrap for about $25 or higher. we just bought 6000 servers for .10 per lb x 135 lbs each = $13.50 each. That bid was @ about $16 ea. the mother boards will cover that. (if you know where to sell them).
