    ARCOA-Orlando

Has anyone done any business with ARCOA in Orlando? Basically I am just trying to make sure they are honest and pay within 5 to 7 days. Would like to hear about any experience with them...good or bad. Thanks.

This is a report by DuneMaul; "Review on Orlando ARCOA

Well today i finally managed to make it down to ARCOA, i know a bunch of you people in the South eastern USA have been waiting for this.

It turns out that this center never really has had a smaller scale e-waste scrapper sell to them. But in my experience today went smoothly so far.

The staff is very friendly even though they were understaffed that day they made me feel welcome.

Prices were the same as quoted from the price list sent out.

I ended up teaching the lady working there about board grading and was able to answer alot of questions about the larger old printers, thanks to members on here.

Payment time is about a 10 day turn around so this is not a place to get a quick turn around.

I would like George to comment on this. But i was told that the center here in Orlando has never bought less then a Gaylord of e-waste at a time. And I feel if i had not previously talked to George earlier in the week that there could have been an issue.

I see very good potential for this collection center here in Orlando, But i would like to see more about there policy on min. amounts to be processed, Receipts to be ready to be made out, and a basic ground plan for e waste collection in general.

Out of a scale of 1-5
    Service: 4
    Knowledge of E-waste: 3
    Prices: 5
    Payment: to be decided
    Communication: to be decided
Overall i came away from today seeing that im gonna have to step up my game and move up a level".

Read thru their thread all the way to get all the "skinny".

Great evaluation Mechanic. I don't mind the turn around time on the money. I am a little nervous that there grading skills might need work. I was hoping to see some grading that would help me to be able to grade and buy boards in my local area. My grading still needs some work.

The Orlando ARCOA is well its a ewaste collection site. I have worked with them regularly now and the time to get your check is 14-15 regular days or 10-14 business days.
Also plan to spend about 1-2 hours weighing in your items. And if you dont have it separated correctly there is a .06 per lb sorting cost and with a .25 per pound cost if they find dirty material.

Scrapologist you can contact me for a price list, what I do is offer Cash same day for your ewaste and I can assist you in knowing what you have. Most people around here find its the easier way to go.

I wonder if you were to mail your stuff in to them, how long it would take to get the check ?

I know if you mail the a pallet of mixed electronics with computers you have to wait a minimum of 21 days.
