Finally making the jump into paid advertising

Called the yellowpages.com guy today that called me a while ago and that Geiser shot me the info for, I deleted it by accident. Online placement for my ad in my coverage area was $47/month. New category, so we'll see what happens.

They have a new section for electronics recycling on the website. But for my area there's only one other company not located in my area. They just paid to post there.

I jumped into paid advertising this week myself! I found a company that sends out phone books with just businesses in them. Usually you have to pay per county but since I am the only ewaste business around I got a great deal of 2 counties for for the price of 1! The best part is that they have 100% saturation so every single household in those two counties will get one and when they look under e-waste recycling, they will only see my company! plus they are designing an ad for me and placing me in multiple categories.... It's only around $295..... awesome deal I think!
Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

I do beleive I got 2 calls one from a Doctor, and one from an Employment Agency. I do some other free advertising. They didn't really seem like CL people. The second call was 4 computers, and 2200 lbs. of office desks and file cabinets. They called back and asked me to move their copier on Thursday morning. I quoted $150 minimum and will pick up a file cabinet from new office. Nice to be up $150 plus to start the day.

I find that the $5 sign I put on my trailer gets me the most calls.it says "free scrap metal and appliance removal".its now 24/7 free advertisement.
