How much to offer for around 30 older computers and some monitors/printers?

This would be my first purchase. There is a school in my area that has been storing donated computers for a while. The estimate is about 30 towers along with some monitors/copiers/printers/fax-machines. They want an offer and I have no idea really. They need them gone, so... i don't know how long they want to hold on to them. I don't have a lot of space - the computers and monitors I can deal with but I know nothing of fax machines, etc. or what they would be worth. Actually, I'm not sure if they want me to pay them or they are thinking they need to pay someone to get rid of them... and I haven't seen the lot yet.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Tell them you will remove them for free, and if they want money offer 3$ a tower charge 1$ per unit to take the monitors and pay a few bucks for the rest, or just tell them that you will remove the rest no charge. Cant loose either way.

Never show all your cards at first......Fish for a little more info and ask the client how they want it handled.......Start with the I will get the stuff out of your way approach.......If this doesn't work pull out wallet and lay down cash

if it's the large copiers the going rate is $100 for removal + $50 per flight of stairs. I removed a couple of those recently and believe me it is worth every penny.

I'll go with the free removal then and ask for more info on the copiers. If they are the large ones I figured they'd be a bunch of plastic.

    Bear, reading your link now.

Edit: The other problem is that there isn't anywhere near me that takes e-scrap. Things like processors, "fingers", and RAM, magnets, can be sold easily and monetarily efficiently over ebay and such but boards can't.
