    Uk vs US

How do you guys go tatting in the us? Same as here? (uk) shouting RAG A BONE! ANY OLD IRROOON!?

Seems like a lot of e waste scrappers here.. Something that doesn't really happen here. The nearest e scrapper is 80 miles away and theres only a handful of yards in the uk.

So how do you go about it across the pond?

Tempting to hook this up to a megaphone. But the gypo's round here already give people a headache. So its shouting and walking in front of the van, high vis on, shouting ANY OLD IROON! RAG A BONE! SCRAP IRON!

No, no yelling. Didn't know what "tatting" was, but finally figured it out. To me, "tatting" would the process of applying a tattoo. Personally, I contact business owners and contact people individually. Like today, I bought some aluminum and steel pots and pans at a yard sale. I used to do some advertising. I have a web site and a FaceBook page. But no yelling.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I thought tatting was what little old ladies did in their rockers with yarn. That and knitting and keeping the 100 or so cats around.

Over here I have business cards handy and anyone I manage to talk to always gets a card, that way they have something to remember me by. Even at yard sales or when I'm out and about.
