    always move forward

this is mainly for the noobs as most of the old timers know the saga,

I started scrapping again last Nov after 5 years of battlin cancer and hart problems, and started with 0, I mean 0. no money no car or truck and no scrap.

Using some previous knowledge and diligent reading the info available here, and when able to ask a relivent question here and with the help of several members here, I am back in decient shape.

cant do the heavy stuff any more but you cznt give up, there is a nich, a place for you, you just have to find it.

study the forums, do your home work, it is called paying your dues. you owe that to those here so willing to help you and to the forum it self.

3 days ago I bought my first vehicle in 6 years. It wasn't much, a 94 s10 blazer, yesterday I traded it for a 95 ford duelly flat bed with sides. his wife needed transport for the kids and I needed a scrapping truck. win, win.

It didn't fall in my lap, I did my home work every day, on craigs list, the auctions ,this forum and every where I could.

if you want manna from heaven go to church, if you want to make something happen, do your home work, study this forum and , go to work, God helps those who help themselves. Just my .o2 mcw

I also started out in this biz 5 years ago..........I will not tell the whole story publicly but I had lost my wife, my kids, my house and my freedom. I went stone cold sober and in five years of doing odd jobs and scrapping have accumulated what to me is a good amount of money. It can be done.....When I started in this biz I would scrap trash cans and dumpsters 12 hrs a day if not more. I now mainly do ewaste thanks to this forum and buy and sell vintage electronics and computer parts on ebay to supplement my scrapping. Thanks old dude and that is my .02 cents worth (LOL)

Thanks old dude. That's a story that should serve as inspiration for a lot of us.

I go to church first then work 8-10 hrs. for the next 6 days. Olddude I could not have said it better. Never give up and never look back, you can not do anything about yesterday and you are not promisted tomarrow, all you have is right now and what you do with it is up to you.
