Moving weight again this month back to September prices well almost Sept. but close enough. CHOOOOO CHOOOOO. Smoking locomotives the last few weeks. There making there last stop. I read the report of the last train I cut up and it said it was all over Mexico. Crazy how many miles they put on these things!!!

China probably owns so many iron ore mines it no longer needs(or wants) to buy it here, until things get so tight we're willing to give it away, just to get rid of it. I noticed a sign on a yard near here lately says "NOT buying Tin/Iron as of NOV 1 Until Further Notice"

God is great, scrap is good, and people are crazy

Its better to be scrapping and thinking of God than sitting in church thinking of scrapping

Since we are so far from our market, slight changes to the prices make a big difference here.
Same with the exchange rate from US$ to the Kiwi$, thats stayed at NZ$ = US$0.81cents for the last 5 months.
    NZ iron prices.
    Heavy Steel NZ$240.00 = US$200
    Lightgrade No.2 NZ$150.00 = US$120
    Car Bodies NZ$90.00 = US$75

Right now I am hearing a strong sideways, so that means it will probably be up when its all said and done. Better than hearing a down market.

Like I said in an earlier post market might be up in jan. not by more then 10 or 20 bucks. The scrap flow for dec was pathetic. It has to go up in my opinion.
