if i remember correctly, it should be about a 60% yield, but its #2 copper because it is coated. thats while it looks silver/grey

Well, I've been stripping mine... And the price I have been getting per pound (along with the rest of my copper) is 1.90-1.95 (I bring it in mixed, and usually make a few dozen dollars on copper a trip).
Does anyone keep SATA cables for resale as is?
I went to my yard yesterday. This is my yards specifications. All yards are different, Ask them these questions!
1.20/lbs. for #2.
power supply wires and all size power cords. Ends clipped off. (Price bumped up a little for large amount)
1.00/lbs communication
(if it has 2 or more layers of insulation)
Ribbon wire, computer / printer power cords. (usually if it has a gold plug end its communication wire)
mouse/keyboard wires, CAT 5, phone wire.
I am getting 1 buck a lb on power supply wire, clipped of connections, .20 cents for the power supply and .15 cents for the connectors. Basically $1.35 a pound for power supplies with a couple of snips with my pruners.
Math is wrong. Your actually around 35 cents a pound all together.
