    Go to the electronics section of this forum and read the old threads. You need the information there to get a grasp on the ewaste business. Many mistakenly believe there are large amounts of gold in every computer. When you and I can buy a new lap top for well under $500 brand new just how much gold could be in them? The answer is that larger quanities are needed to make any money from recycling computers also finding good buyers. You have found the right place for all this information needed. We have member/buyers who have reviews by those who have used them.

    If you are truely interested in knowing the ins and outs of the ewaste take the time to read the threads and you will gain a profitable education. Mike.

    It's because the gold is not in a form that they can use, (buy-sell) like Mike said it takes large quantities to make money. Or if you have a steady supply of ewaste coming in you might just want to sell to an escrapper instead of breaking down.
    Does all computers and cell phones have gold in them and where and how do you recover it,
    The where we deal with quite a bit but the how we try to leave that to the pro's OR you could hurt yourself badly.

    That's not totally right, I'm having some small stuff "refined" as we speak, and it was sent to someone from our forum. There is quite a few responsible refiners on the "other" forum.
    And this is what they sometimes end up with;

    Cell phones have a good amount. I just sent out a board from an old satellite phone that was covered in gold and very heavy. Hoping to get some special pricing on it.

    That would possibly be a nice looking button if it didn't have the flux on it.
