    Smf vbay?

Was thinking about an auction section here in the forum and how it could help scrappers sell things.
also open the door up to the world of e-waste component buyers to come in and maybe buy our stuff too.
just like ebay, Vbay is suitable to vbulletin format and would slip into this forum like a hot knife through butter i reckon.

personally i'd like to buy unusual heat sinks, other's may chase cpu's or pound bags of fingers, plugs, whatever, we could all list our items here and in no time flat I think it would be a thriving e-waste auction community.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'd try it out, for sure.

having a for sale section on a forum opens up a huge can of worms.

Scammers, disputes between members, what can and cant be sold.

It's a good idea but another headache for our wonderful admin.

I don't think it's a good idea. We're all a bunch of lowballers anyway when it comes to purchasing things to take apart to sell parts/scrap or flip.

Shouldn't be too hard to regulate. Just a few more items in the moderation queue for the Admins.

Don't you worry about me If it's what you guys want, it's worth the headache. Over 100,000 people coming through here every month soooo if I don't already have chronic migraines, I think I'll survive lol.

I'll think about it and see what we can come up with, good idea actually.

Just make sure you keep the ability to give buyers negative feedback. That was when evilbay lost me.

I think within a forum it would regulate itself as it wouldn't take too many bad deals to be noticed by the whole community.
there'd need to be some limit i'd imagine in how much a person lists free, i think if you wanted to list more then 20 items at once then maybe there should be stores features, so a small time scrapper with lots of bits might pay $5 month store fee and list as much they want. a business might pay $30 month to list aswell as advertise and link their business.
