    Looking for website feedback

Now that I am branching out to more advertising I figured building a website would be a good Idea. Also since I am going to be doing this full time I figured I should go ahead and pick a business name so I can register it with the state. This way instead of being known as the guy that buys computer and electronic scrap there would be more of a professional side to it. Started working on the website this morning and looking for feedback.

I don't want to step on any toes so I figured I should ask if it is ok for me to post the link.

Yes, you can post a link to your website, and people will give you feedback on it.

Looks like you're off to a good start! The only thing that I would suggest, is to eliminate the questions from your mission statement.

Thanks scruffy. Are you talking about where it says why recycle with us or where it says looking to dispose......

He's referring to the home page. The content under mission statement.

Mission Statements is like a statement from the company to its potential clients on its goals and plans to keep ewaste out of landfills etc.

So far, things are looking good.

I would take the video off of the bottom, or say what you do to the processed materials later on instead of saying that "They are then sent to other recycling centers to be
further processed and re used." Where are those recycling centers? You might want to explain that.

Ok went in a edited the mission statement.

Also I would like to keep the video if possible. I think it will have a huge impact on those who watch it. I made sure to choose a video that didn't mention gold to prevent gold fever in any possible customers. Also I do plan to add to the site how the materials are recycled at a later date. Right now im just working on the basics and the first impression.

Maybe it's just me, but I find light printing and graphics on black a bit harsh (takes away from your message). I prefer dark on light.

I do understand where you are coming from and will keep that in mind. However most people have no idea what happens with the items and opening their eyes to the reality of it is a "sales pitch"

I still have to work on images and a slogan so I will keep the brighter world idea in mind.

The colors were pretty harsh on the eyes. I would definately change that stuff around.

Might think about a light green for the bottom and light blue for the top, kind of like green grass and blue for the sky. More pleasing, and there's your backdrop for your bird, flowers, etc.

Maybe something like this only a little lighter, I'm still working on these for better visual.

I would like to thank everyone who has givin feedback I can't explain how helpful and appreciated it is. Being only the 2nd site I've build I can always use the extra help. I can do the work but the feedback I cant do.

I"m going to play with the image editing program today and see what I can come up with. Also I did change the background color to calm things down a bit.

Off to work on a banner.

Ok made some changes. Made a simple banner for the time being until I have more time to work with it and more experience with the image editing program. Also decided to take the video down for now. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. Input? Added a short section on Data Destruction to the home page. Also created a Facebook page for anyone interested. Trying to reserve the name on social media sites but as of now Facebook is the only one I know how to use.
