I got those numbers mixed up. It is 14.00 in processors, and $82.50 im MB. I believe I am going to start sending everything to ewasted.
I know there was no snarkyness in tended Idaho. It was self directed, in this day and age I think personally the only dumb question is the one I ask before Google-ing it!!! I know better.
Well it is 2:30 am so I am going to bed. Just finished 5 rooms of drywall late night on a rental for an investor. Up another $100 to buy more e-scrap.
I went out to look at the new retail location possibility. I think I can make it work. The big area is huge way more than I can use right now. However, there are storage lockers built into a portion of the building and I may be able to work out of two of them for the time being. One as the office scale area, and the other for storage and immediate breakdown.
OK now the dilemma I am faced with is which space do I go for? I think the 2 storage lockers is great idea at about $100-$200 per month. The larger area is nice so I may try to negotiate terms for the lease. 3 months $300, increasing every 3 months to full price. We will have to see how it goes.
The greatest motivator for me is the ability to have a retail location with a scale. This building is less than five minutes from a scrap yard. I know I can get some overflow from guys looking to maximize their money. I think the right advertising combination will do wonders.
I will continue to gather facts, analyze the data, and make a decision.
I am in the process of Making a round of pick ups from the calls I have gotten. Wife is riding shotgun, then out for steaks. Will post results for today's PU's later.

Your goals are doable, the more return customers and long term deals you can make will make it a reality, hustle hustle hustle and good luck
I had a really good day today. Ran a little over 1/2 tank gas out the truck, partly chasing goods, the other part running personal errands. Picked up the am load and sold some for parts, then grabbed up the wife and went out on a maybe.

Have not gotten to process yet but expect to do really well. No matter what the trip landed us at a Japanese Steak House so win win. I also ran into a load of building materials. Just removed at no cost from a property that needed cleaned out. Sold part for $35 to a good customer. Still have 4 15 amp Stab Lok, GFCI breakers. Thanks to one of the above posts!!! And a box of screws, bolts, and nails, brand new in the box. And some other stuff.
I also went to the printer finally and got some flyers printed. Staples here in Pittsburgh only gave me $2.00 per ink cartridge, $18.00 in store credit. The associate informed me that they will send me a coupon for that amount in the next month or so. I will use it invest in more flyers that will hopefully create more work.

It was a special occasion, the anniversary my our first date 9 years ago. I do understand the misery that a new venture brings. I kind of enjoy the suffering. It is sacrifice, invest in the business, suffer, suffer, SUCCESS...
I believe I have a solid plan. I have income to support my family if the scrap cannot. But thanks for the advice. By the way lunch yesterday was 2 Mcdoubles and a coke!
Home Depot and Lowes have free coffee if any of you guys are really on the grind. I stop if I'm riding by for a freebee.
I also set goals when I started in this biz and they can be accomplished..........My first and primary goal was to get my own truck which I did now my goal is to have enough to make a large down payment on a house......I told myself I didn't need to look at buying a house untill I had around 50,000 so I'm almost half way there..........It can be done KEEP SCRAPPIN
I am going to be looking soon............I ruined my credit with a foreclosure on my first home along with some other bills..........I figured the only way I could get any one to talk to me would be with a rather large wad of one hundred dollar bills
The scrap had to take a back seat today, still ended up with a truck load! LOL!

Those are arc fault circuit interrupter breakers. They are worth $30 each. The pcmica cards from laptops are hit or miss, they can be worth anything from $1 each to $15 each.
If you come across any fpe / stab lok circuit breakers let me know. I can move them.

" Create Donation Bins Program for in-store drop offs"
I like your idea and have looked into doing this at local ship it stores where allot of small businesses go. One idea would be to step it up and put drop off containers for Electronics in Parking lots or near busy streets. At our local supermarket there are 3 drop off containers for clothes, paper and books and they are making money off all those. Open 24 X 7 and they fill up fast.
