    unsure what to do

I got a call today from a disabled vet that saw my ad for computer parts. He resells, fixes, scraps, and sometimes donates things that people give him. I want to pay him more than I pay other people because of what he has done for all of us and because he will be a steady supplier. I just don't know how much to pay him after i account for costs.

I'm also tempted to hook him up with an online buyer but know nothing about how to broker deals and recieve commission or anything like that.

Basically i want to help him out, but i need to make a living too and tend to be too nice at times.

I would expect he wants to be treated like any other grown man most of all. I suggest you give him what it is worth and encourage him to locate more material to increase his profits. Just my thoughts but I thank you for taking the time to consider you options. Mike GySgt USMC (Ret)

Exactly. One day I was sitting on a park bench eating some buffalo wings from the local carry out. A homeless man walks up to me and says, "Excuse me, sir. I'm hungry, I haven't eaten all day, and I'll give you $5 for everything you have left in that box." I had 4 wings left. I gave him the food, I took his money, and he was very appreciative. I probably would have given him what I had money or not, but the money that he payed me allowed him to keep his dignity.

So the way I look at is that if you want to help the guy or do him a favor, then do so. But do it OUTSIDE of the business transactions and keep the business relationship strictly business.
