So after reading all your helpful and informative replies this is what I am now leaning towards:

$1.50 per on T.V.'s /Monitors to be paid at the end of the week. Including lunch. Bonus is always possible.
Microwaves ??? Still not quite sure. Current shred price is at .08/lb.
A buck per Microwave, maybe??? What do yall think?

How far do you do microwaves? We pull the transformer, cut some insulated copper, and throw in shred. I would almost pay .50 for those.

What are you getting for transformers? Most of the microwaves I get have 7 to 10 pounders in them. I would pay based on 1/2 the payout on transformers.

I think the payout for newer microwaves may be less because the microwave companies are taking away the giant transformers in the machines. They are replacing them with "inverter boards" that look like this:

I personally have never found one of these, I've just read about them. I may be wrong about payout, but it looks like it would be easier to take apart.

I've never really had to break down microwaves before. This is something new the local scrap yard just started requiring us to do. Not that it scares me. I just really need to figure out what kind of profit I stand to make now.

personally if you offer bonus then i would go with $1 per tube + bonus. perhaps something like:
$20 bonus for 100 per week
$50 bonus for 200 per week
$100 bonus for 300 per week... assuming you have enough sets to make this offer. nothing worse than counting on a bonus and running out of product.

edit: $150 bonus for 300 seemed too high even though it would work out to $1.50/set. $100 for 300 should be plenty of motivation for most.

Transformers: At last check I think was going for .20/.lb at the larger yard I use. The smaller yard , which is much closer by, won't even take em. They say throw em in with shred. I've no idea why. Doesn't matter cause I would never do that!

    Yeah, something like that^^^
T.V;s/Monitors/Microwaves seems to a never ending product. At least for now. I've always taken them in. Usually I would do a few T.V's/Monitors on rainy or slow days. Mostly I just stockpile as I know there is money to be made on them. Problem is they are starting to take up way too much room. Time to move em all out. Can always get more.

teach them how to check wires for copper or aluminum and make them break down the copper transformers. easily worth $1/ microwave if breaking down transformers imo.
