Thanks for all the great feedback!
As a new buyer on here, I'll chime in and offer my .02 cents.
When I set up my ad, I knew I wanted to put pricing in there for sure. Everything else, I was uncertain of. I did add an email to comply with the guidelines here. Everything is being shipped to my home address for the time being, so for me, the zip code being out there was all I'm comfortable with. If you're serious about selling me your goods, I can provide the actually mailing address when we get to that point.
Even with the pricing in the post, I still get emails asking for pricing. I try to respond to them as promptly as possible, but things may sit a day from time to time.
I can understand why some of the buyers on here are leery about posting prices. For me, I'm buying to hoard. Commodities drop 10% tomorrow, I'll adjust my pricing, but it's not the end of the world if I overpay a touch on the stuff that I have en route already. This is a long term decision on my part. I'm still not even 100% certain what I'm going to do with my hoard. Maybe I'll just sit on it until prices move my way, and then ship to Mario. Maybe I'll lose my nuts, but that's the gamble
I'm also trying to create a niche to differentiate from the other buyers on the forum. I'm willing to post a price and pay a premium for finger boards cleaned without the brackets (as a result of a thread on the forum a while back, seemed like something guys wanted?). The other thing that I'm willing to do (for now) is pay up front via paypal. This is a complete trial run, and I'm not 100% certain how long I'm gonna do it for. I have successfully completed two transactions with people from the forum, just paid for a third tonight. I do have one transaction that I'm worried about though. It's been over 2 weeks since I've paid, not product received, no tracking info, no response from the seller. I'm gonna give it another week or so, and then contact Paypal to see what my options are. It's a risk that I'm willing to take, but we will see for how long.
Any feedback that you guys have, I'd like to hear it. What are your thoughts on paying up front (for established forum members?) Also the bracketless cards thing? Am I spinning my wheels?
