If you are in Word, just save them as a PDF. It's already in the program,

    download cutepdfwriter

then go to file, print and select it as your printer

you can print any file to it and create a PDF document. it will ask you were to save it. so you could create a "invoice folder" and then save them all in one place.

it is freeware. I have used it for years with printing customers who do not want to pay for a professional version of Adobe, etc...

Is it really free though? I downloaded a few the other day, and then they all were going to deactivate in a few days, unless I paid an arm and a leg.

I've installed it as a printer on several of my computers and it's working fine not asking for any money

You're right but I think that only works in Office 2010 and 2013. If they are using a previous version they need an add on.

Seems everyone has provided good options. Here's the one I use: Bullzip.com - Free PDF Printer

OpenOffice.org works just like Microsoft Word and has a handy PDF button at the top in the toolbar.

Another vote for Bullzip as it's the only free one I've seen that allows you to combine pdf's.

I absolutely love "do-pdf." For it's ease of use. It's also free. It installs itself just like a printer so when you go to print something out, you hit select your printer and change it from your printer to the Do-PDF printer. It doesn't print it, it just saves it as a PDF file. Seems complicated but it's super easy. With do pdf, you don't have to open another program.
