When I sell items I have acquired, I generally do not disclose that I operate a junk removal business and I either got the item for FREE, or I was PAID to take it.
When I tell people that, they seem to think THEY should get a better deal, as though the way an item is acquired somehow changes the value of the item.
Any thoughts?
In my experience, when people are asking you how much you paid for something or "how much do you have in it", they are trying to gauge how low of an offer they can get away with. No need to make it easy for them.
