I agree with most other comments. I too am wanting to eventually open up some kind of recycling location, but I am going to hold out until the work load and cash flow either allows or forced me into it. I only started scrapping a few months ago with the money I made selling random things on eBay. I have gone from $40 payouts at the yard every other saturday to $120 payouts every week, not to mention the amount of e-waste I ship out and the materials I have been saving up. At this rate I know it will take me awhile longer, but it goes to show that if you work constantly you can always make money. Although I will say that if I had 40k that I had made and not borrowed and enough current business to justify the move, then i could definitely make a specialized e-waste business work. An actual scrap yard would take at least 10 times that, i would think.
