Ok maybe not a thief, but you have to admit it is misleading. We are not on the metric system in this country and most do not know the conversions, so then I have to believe that yard knows they are getting over on most people.

Of course they do. At my yard you have to specifically ASK for bare bright, they claim it is insider information. Also you have to ASK for a bump if you bring in large quantities. Example, aluminum cans are 60 cents but if you bring in over 50lbs they will pay you 65 cents, but only if you request it. Nowhere is there anything posted about these so called policies. I have also stated before that some guys pay me more than others on some items. I had a guy tell me last saturday, Thanks for organizing all of this for us, i really appreciate it. Then when i got my ticket he whispered that he gave me a bump in pricing. I think its low, and i think its bad business.

Old saying goes like this "never assume anything" in business. Just break the word "assume" into its basic parts and you'll understand why. When you "ass-u-me" something it can makes an A$$ out of U and ME.

By the way, my yards pay in Net Ton.
