The yard i go to takes EVERYTHING. I've never taken anything there they didn't take. They even take Coax, but they only pay $.05 for it. The down sides to them taking everything seems to be that they don't differentiate much between different types of material. Electric fans from power supplies and cpu's, pay the same as a Transformer, or any other electric motor for that matter $0.17 even whole ceiling fans. They have different types of Al, but they all pay $0.50 so there is no point separating it.
Went a little off topic, my point is if the yard can make money buying material why would they ever stop? They lower their prices accordingly. Doesn't ever seem to deter people from bringing in their material. So as long as you pay more than they paid, and they lower their prices when the market calls for it, they shouldn't cut off
e-waste.
