    Scrappers Templates and SpreadSheets

Do you use spreadsheets to help your scrap metal business? If so, tell us about them.

If not try a few spreadsheets / templates for,

    Break Even Analysis
    Monthly/Annual Budgets
    Route Planning
    Sales Planning
    Client Tracking
    Envelopes
    Purchase Orders

Don't have software? Try Google Docs.
All the software you need is free.
Except Quickbooks, which you may not need.

Quickbooks is all I use to track expenses and income, including monthly and yearly reports. Mine is Quickbooks 2009, which was/is free which I keep as a desktop icon. Not sure if it's still free or not.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I use an older version of Quicken. Spreadsheets are just too much work to set up and maintain. I was able to get the software for free and since it's an older, outdated version they didn't ask for a fee when I registered it.

I use some spreadsheets everyday. And the templates are time savers. These spreadsheets are absolutely necessary for my business.

I am super high tech. Hand written ledger with receipts paperclipped inside. Kept in the front of the truck so I can write in it as soon as I exchange money. I do however snap a picture of my receipts since I have no real back up system.

You might want to make a copy of that spreadsheet to share, and strip out some data... it looks like you might have left some personal data in there that anyone can read...

I build many custom Excel spreadsheets for myself and clients.

Here is a 12 month projected Income and Expense spread sheet. Will show you, Income, cost of sales and expenses and break them down for you in an easy to read spread sheet. It will also show you the percentage of that income, cost of sale or expense compared to the others.

If you need more line items simply add another line and copy paste.

I have included some sample data for you to get the idea.

You can download this from my dropbox here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...statement.xlsx

This spreadsheet is locked with a password. I will be talking with the admin of this site to see if selling my business spreadsheets would be alright through this site. If not i will offer these myself though PM.
