I second that: "well said".
In todays corporate society where humans take second place, you would be changing to the highest price at the drop of a hat. Who cares about a long relationship? The boardrooms sure as heck don't.
But when you are dealing with another human, bending the business rules of "profit over all" can turn out to be good business. There's lots of tales of a small supplier helping a small struggling company and both winning in the end. Probably life-long friendships forged in the process as well.
