    Anyone use Excel/Access

I have been keeping track of what I take in by weight and amount of cash received using the ol' paper and pen style. Recently I loaded it all into Excel and messed around making reports in Access that automatically look at my Excel sheet as I update it.

Looking to see if anyone else is using Excel or Access and see what you have for a template.

Apologize for creating a new post for something that was on here already. When I searched earlier, I hadn't found quite what I was looking that was why I posted. Thanks Mec.

Just thought I would share what I came up with for my spreadsheet. I do not have access to the private forums yet. Any ideas or questions, let me know. This is actually my data, but I have been kind of hoarding stuff. I also have a blank version of this. My Sheet with explains what the 01,02,03 etc...is taped to the side of my monitor, but If you look at the TOT page that numbered sheets are in order going down the TOT page. Just changed all the sheet names so that I didn't have to scroll back and forth every time.

    OK...
Here's a snippet of mine. I took October's & November's results, added some & subtracted some & changed some, so noone will scoff at how little money I'm making...

Columns A, B, C, & D you have to enter when you get home from the yard. The functions in the other fields will populate the rest of the spreadsheet, with just a couple of exceptions.

To populate column K, right click cell I38, then highlight every necessary cell in column K, then right click->paste special->Values.

Column M same method from cell H38.

Finally, Column S type in the date matching column A and columns T & U will populate.

I'm sure there's a way to make excel do those things for you, but I haven't figured it out yet. I totally taught myself what little I know about excel by looking at other people's spreadsheets & seeing what functions, scripts, etc they used.

You can inspect my functions (geez that sounded bad ... ) by highlighting any cell & looking at the Fx field up at the top.
