    new requirements for shipping FEDEX

Had a 400 lb shipment held up for 3 days by fedex. aparently now you need to label each package in multiple shipments to one location. each box needs the same label and mark each label 1 of 7 2of 7 ect.

they didn't pick up the load 3 days in a row. when inquiring the reasion the only anwsw3er I recieved after 3 days and a dozen very frustrating phone calls , with 15 different answers most comon being , the shipment wasen't ready. today I finaly learned about the label thing on each pkg.

Yep, you sure do. Not sure if it's a new thing, as I've had to do it in the past. When I ship out I mark all the boxes that way, mostly for my peace of mind, if their all going to the same place of course. As someone who used to deal with shipping/receiving in prior jobs, I recall all of our boxes came in that way also, whether fedex, ups or even straight off a tractor trailer.

Sirscrapalot - Even numbers the boxes, along with the slips.

it helps the person receiving the packages too - so that they know they got everything that was shipped

400 lbs of material going to the same place? Hard to imagine that going FedEx was cheaper than LTL.
