Man, so many of you jumped on the hating tv band wagon. Guys, there is an art in doing this and it has worked for me. Copper from tvs make up a considerable amount of my copper stash that I keep right around 200lbs. Just take the goods out the tv and respectfully put it back together. Now, if the recycling center is that far, you need to work on your negotiation and persuasive skills. I drop off loads of tv at 00.00 cost and they are happy for the tv. The recycling center gets $0.10 per pound for them, so in short you are bringing them money. Get in touch with someone in charge, not the middle guy or some little guy that has no power. I'm smiling all the way to the bank on tvs, so if you don't want them, send them to me.
