I don't like storage units. Someone tested their storage locker key on my lock and it opened for them. I realized someone broke in when my 2 fridges were missing (thank god it was only the fridges). If you do decide to keep and use a unit, pick one in an area with good surveillance, that was my mistake. Happy scrapping!

if your going to go the inverter route for power you might want to think about this option. Install a second battery in your truck isolated by a solenoid so when the truck is off anything running off of the inverter won't suck power from your main battery, then run a power and ground right from the battery into the truck and under the seat and have your inverter there. To add to that you might want a retractable extension cord for easy storage. If your just running a drill, sawzall, grinder, battery charger a 750W or 800W would be enough

I always buy my locks from a hardware that way the odds are good that there is no keys running around close.

Never in all the years I have used storage at those kind of places, did I not have the choice to bring my own lock. They don't need a key to it, if they need to get in, they'll cut your lock. any place that forced me to use the same lock as everyone else, would have me finding another place.
