What kind of monitors are they? (CRT or LCD? Size?)
If you are new to ewaste scrapping then take the for free this time and you will know it it is worth it for you. In the county I live in there is a $5 per crt charge to dispose of them. So in my case I don't take them unless its part of a larger load. I then pass them on to another scrapper at no charge to him. I don't like the cost of disposal and having to drive miles to drop them off, no curb pick up by the trash guys.
In the end you will learn something and profit a little. Mike

Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked
It all depends on if you have a way to dispose of the waste. (Glass, plastic, etc) If you are new to ewaste, like previously said, take a few and experiment with them. See how long it takes, how much you make off them and factor in disposal. Iv been doing ewaste coming up on a year now and i still take them for free. Mostly cause my yard allows me to toss them in my scrap cars. If I didnt deal with scrap cars, id probably still take them, but I wouldnt remove anything. I'd just clip the cord and sell them as bulk ewaste at my yard for shred price.
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...
