    NO the price for lead is far above the price for steel. My local yards are at about $0.40/lb for lead and $0.10 for steel. BTW $0.10/lb=$200.00/ton.

    Don't miss out on one of the important recommendations you have been given. If you have a lot of something tell the yard so you get a better price. By telling them you have hundreds of pounds of lead its lets the yard know you are aware you have a lot and expect to be paid at a higher rate.
