    Anyone do there own smelting?

Just wondering. I catch youtube of people casting different things. Also would you get more value if you melted down a bunch of #2 chopper and make it into a bar?

In the upper right corner of the screen, pwa, you will see a search bar...with it, you can search for topics already discussed (like this one) "smelting smf" will yield what you want.

I do have some ore's that I have picked up over the years. some really nice rocks quartz with titanium, gold, copper ore, silver. I doubt I would get good results trying to smelt them myself I have a few books on the process but have yet to get to them. I feel this will be a project better suited for later in life when I have more free time and material.

In most cases, unless you have a really good relationship with your yard they may not buy it. Secondly it is just an extra expense with no gain except in special circumstances

I am a "hobby, Home refiner" It is a very intense learning process, not like cutting iron with a torch. Doing ores is a serious situation and dangerous to you your family, pets and the neighbors. just my .02
