    Ford's 2015 aluminium 150

The 2015 truck will be the first mass produced alu vehicle.
will it have an effect on the ALU and steel market?

In my opinion what ever effect it will have for the near future has already happened.
    1. they are already in production so, contracts for metal have already been made.

    2. the "AL" is an alloy not pure AL.

    3. this may open a new market for that metal.

    Future effects.

Un sure. Our "illustrious" leader has seen fit to demand (executive orders) unreasonable mileage requirements for the future. We will see those little toy trucks found in third world countries before long. In fact before long, in my opinion, we will be a third world country.

I don't think the new truck will be an immediate hit but, this will be the near future out of necessity, and in 3 or 4 years Ido see a big effect on the market when all the manufacturers are forced to this alloy by mileage requirements. just my .02
