When you consider these “toy trucks” that are used in other countries have great gas mileage and great reliability, I don’t see that being an issue. I’d rather pay up front for a more fuel-efficient work truck that will save big bucks in the long run.
We Americans like our big-azz beefy trucks and SUVs but we really can’t sustain that too much longer. We need to stand up to big oil and tell them we’re not going to be forced to drive gas guzzlers anymore.
Gasoline never should have become the standard for fuel in vehicles. For a little while, in the early 1900s, electric vehicles were more numerous than gas-powered ones. But the oil trusts and oil lobbyists put a stop to all of that
I personally can’t wait for Volkswagen to bring their TDI pickup, the Amarok to The States (it’s inevitable…people are starting to see the benefits of TDI/clean diesel). And, Mr. Elon Musk, please please please give us a Tesla pickup before you pack up and head to Mars!
