    Just got my Broadband back

I have been without broadband internet at my new shop since moving in in July.
Time Warner said there would be an installation charge, since there was no service in my building.
I told them they were crazy as the building was being subdivided into many individual units, and there was potential for lots of new customers.
If they insisted on an installation charge, they could go pound salt.
They offered to cut the fee.
I said go pound more salt. Sea Salt, to be exact.
They finally agreed, buried an underground cable and ran a service line about 1500 feet to my shop.

Aah! On line again: Internet, broadband telephone, wireless hotspot, email, eBay,messages to Mario....

    Life is good.

In a commercial location you pay through the nose for Internet service.

    That is a FACT!!

    Mike,

We have Centurylink here on the sandbar, and Charter. Of the two..I like Centurylink better. Tho neither really give me issues an when they do it's usually of the people kind an not the equip/internet.

Rumor is we're getting Comcast. Charter is swapping accounts with Comcast due to that merger with Time Warner. Our county board isn't none to pleased as it means another equipment changeout/upgrade that we just went through with charter that was a complete fiasco.

Anyhow..I had Centurylink when they were Embarq, an after an I had no issues with the service. Same with charter. The employee's can leave a lot to be desired tho.

Here they occasionally call you to tell you that they have upgraded your speed (I think we're up to 7) and their constantly upgrading their equipment. All at no hidden price increase. If we have an outage (storm-tree) they are right on it and fixing it. You can also get a tv package thru them.
