    How to Sell Low-Grade Boards

I have been researching for almost a year with no luck. I am looking for some help now. the best I have ever gotten for low grade boards is .05/lb here in Charlotte area. I have called many yards, and reserched this site and on-line but cannot get better. I have reached out to a couple buyers on this site within driving disance, but cannot get a response. I know I can sell my higher grade boards through the mail and do well, but I was hoping to be able to find a better price for my low grade boards locally here. I have never combined low grade boards with my shred as I feel that is not the proper way to dispose of, so I just sell for the .05/lb. If any memebr knows of a place close to Charlotte that I can sell for a better price i would appreciate the help. I would probably also sell power supplys, heat sinks etc. locally to make the trip worth both mine and the buyers time. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You

I get .10/LB but I find the most value in them is aqquiring a whole bucket of them and than pull of all the goodies. Heatsinks you got aluminum .50/lb than you pull transformers .15 cbm. Copper windings in there unravel and sell as bare bright. I hate only getting .10 for boards, but I find profit elsewhere in them.

Hey thanks! I'm surprised it took me so long to find this forum. I haven't been there in a while but I want to say it was at least .10 for low grade. Probably easiest just to call for current prices 704-749-5400

The important thing here is to make sure you are operating with a lot of boards. Don't break them down one at a time, as you get them. Pull the brown boards out of power supplies and tuck them away in a bucket, then break them all out one day and knock off the Al heatsinks, transformers, and tantalum caps.

This way, you don't waste time retooling and you get a lot more done. 'Specialization' is the thing to look up there.

I'm only able to pay $0.12/lb in Alabama but we have a storefront opening so I have had to change our pricing structure dramatically to account for the cost of brick and mortar.
