Yes.................. I would also vote for only one stupid question per 100 posts
"anyone who thinks scrappin is easy money ain't doin it right!"
I would say no...if a business wants to offer a service then they should be able to with a paid membership. Most of us live in a free market society and it is anyones right to do business. Now if that buainess is used to rip people off then it should lose its right to do business here on the forum.

So, we're good for goat remarks, becoming sidetracked, and reminding people that there are archives?
Works for me!
I said one month. I think that a buyer should have to do a little bit to try to see the forum, and figure out a little bit about how we work...

I say no. The amount of time a person has been hanging around is in no way proportional to the level of integrity he displays. I have known many vendors from other forums that offered great products and services for years and suddenly one day everything changes and lots of folks lose money. The only way to avoid losing your stuff is to do your due diligence, and even then it is only a mitigation not a guaranty.

I hate rules, but I love junk.
I would say no. If they paid, let them post in the buyers feed, build a reputation, and make a buck. If a couple members get burned, we will all know about right away. Then that buyer becomes a "has been" and everyone moves on. Gotta Crack a few eggs before you get a good omelet.

Mmmm. I like omelettes!

So far over 60% like the idea of a probationary period would like to see more votes then perhaps changes can be made
I voted for 1 month but I would also be open to maybe a post requirement . Simply reading posts from members/buyers will often paint you a perfect picture of the the type of individual your dealing with . I also like seeing how buyers handle problems or constructive criticism when things don't go well or confusion arises .
Buying ewaste and video games !
Post count not a good idea people will just post to get their count up
I agree. Besides, who do we think we are to make such a requirement. This is not some exclusive club. This is a forum on the internet, period. Pay your money and create an ad.
You do the right things and you make money. Treat sellers badly and you're done. Simple capitalism. My 2 cents and quite possibly worth less than that on the open market.
It appears to me that is already happening. Not sure why a high post count is important. It certainly means nothing as far as an individuals integrity is concerned. In fact, why do some people have so much time to just read posts and respond. I remember a couple of years ago there was a post concerning what your time is worth. Some were saying they wouldn't take the time to pickup a coin on the street. Yet, they'd spend hours day after day posting on here. I think they might have been farther ahead had they picked up that coin. In other words, stop talking about it and DO IT! Hmm, turned into a bit of a rant I guess. My apologies ladies and gentlemen.
I wonder what would happen if you told an Ebay seller. Send me the goods and I’ll pay you when I get it?
