Pretty simple question and it requires no public response. If a fellow businessman would help me out I'd like to inquire about brands of wire granulators. We've seen several and I personally have seen a large operation in full swing. I'd like to look at (in person) or get a well adjusted opinion on a granulator, new/refurbished. Things I'm looking to learn, preferred brand...capabilities of each, necessity of prep, cost to maintain, knife and screen costs...ease of sourcing parts...what breaks the most often... Dry vs wet separation... how fine of material is too fine to work with?
I am willing to fly out to a location to see one in action. If you know people who SELL them new, used, refurbed or what have you, please...PM ME DIRECTLY.
You can PM me your response if your willing to help us out.
We are already aware of actual operating costs, power requirements (we have a 480V 200 amp disconnect and a dedicated transformer we share with our neighbor...so no issues) Selecting the unit that will give us the best recovery, run the longest between knife changes...simplicity in design...compact, these are considerations but concessions can be made for the right kind of unit.
