Trying to find someone who has a water table to sort out plastic chop's and copper fine's that come from our copper granulator. Was exporting but the export tax got so high my exporter was losing monie's. If anybody can help us out or point us in the right direction that would be great as we have a couple load's ready to ship, 40,000 plus on each load as this is taking a lot of space in our warehouse.

Looking to sell as we really don't need the copper fine's are plastic back. Not looking to buy a water table at this time as we are maxed out for space in our warehouse right now. Only grinding #2 wire right now and have cut back production to about 3000 or 4000 lbs a day to save space for our processed material, normally we run between 12,000 to 15,000 lbs a day. I'll post a pic of what I got later as I need a couple pot's of coffee to wake up and take pic's. These chop's are in super sack's and inside a gaylord box's and ready to ship. If you can process or have a lead let's make a deal. Thank's.

If you are no longer working with your overseas buyer and you already know what he WAS paying and possibly what copper content he was recovering from your waste...you would be better served connecting with a buyer if you disclosed expected recovery percentages.

I agree 100%, without knowing expected recovery, nobody would even consider this. The other part of the equation is what to do with the plastic.

There are multiple vinyl buyers across the country. When dealing 40k at a time. That said they want CLEAN vinyl only, which I'm sure brassbuster already knows.

I thought everyone in the US had to switch to air separation because of the environmental problems involved with disposing of the copper contaminated water using the wet method...

You might try gravity separation where the material is fed through a wide pipe or wide tube of some sort. Placing a small adjustable air jet, or fan that is adjustable right above a split in the tube where the tube goes from one to two tubes will push the lighter material to one part of the split and go down a different tube from the heavier material which will continue down the other side of the why. It's called forced air separation and is used to very good effect in industry.
I made something like this a few years back for a client, but not one since. If I can find the pictures I'll post them. It will allow for dry separation, and works very well so long as you adjust the air pressure of the air input so as not to blow the heavy material into the lighter material. The key is to get it well separated as it is poured into the tube, and this can easily be done by simply applying a strong fan at the top.
Here is an example of the same concept, a little different. I'm sure if you researched and watched a few videos on the subject you could come up with a solution that better matches the type of separation you are looking for. I feel air separation would better fit your intended purpose and keep water out of your material that could be another problem all together.

Thank's NobleMetalWorks for the video. I work for a company that has built one of the largest and best strem line system's in the country and the only one in Indiana that we know of. The city of Indianapolis is planing one but we got one up on them. We get and recycle the occ (cardboard) plastic, paper, glass, alum. ubc (pop can's) and steel, and anything else that is recycable, verly little goe's to the land fill. Thank's again.

I don't know the copper recovery was I'm sure it is very small, I'll check with my exporter to see what it was, but my buyer was more interested in the plastic. If anybody is interested and want to try a load, you pay for freight and it's FREE.

Figured out how to post my pic's, you may need to zoom to get a better pic but the copper is there. Haven't talked to the exporter we sold to, but he said it wasen't much as he wanted the plastic more to make shoe's with. Gotta be some one on here that can use this stuff.
Depending on the on going production I would think setting up a water table would be the direction I would go. I wish I had the health to support a project like that. 73, Mike
