It really depends on what the refrigerant is. It can range from 0 to 17.00 a pound.

Thank's freonjoe for reply, I knew you would. The refrigerant is R410A. One unit has 3.7 lbs. the other has 5.3 lbs. Just trying to get a rough price as to what we should be paying to get these units reclaimed. We have a lot of these unit AND I MEAN A LOT. I think we are being had and will lose money. Thank's joe or anybody who can help.

I get 50 cents a pound for 410, but I have to send 400 pounds of either R22 or R12 to get that. Those are some pretty big units to have that much 410 in them.

I wouldn't expect to see much, if anything, for 410A, but let's see what FreonJoe has to say.

As far as cost, I've seen up to $25 per unit, but think with quantity, you could get an hourly rate

Thanks freonjoe. We have a machine to reclaim freon but with the amount of units we have it would take way too long. The co. we are using is charging $17.00 per unit, they have 2 guys here and they are doing 3 inits at a time. I'll up date later tonight. Thank's.
