- Screws? worth it or trash? other question as well

is it worth it to save screws? when i take appart stuff ive been tossing them in a small cup, its not much but it easly builds up... is it worth it to keep? also whats the best place that i can ship metal to to sell? im new ish to scrapping and wanna get back into it as a hobby, But i dont want to take scrap places i want to ship it to online sites
I purchased one of the magnets from Harbor Freight that has a handle that releases the metal. I keep a bucket near my work area and put the screws in the bucket. Is it worth it no but I have to pick them up anyway. 73, Mike

I save mine up in a coffee can. When I scrap a microwave I just dump them in the microwave and shut the door. That way they don't go flying all over the place and get spilled at the yard where they could puncture someone's tire. They come in handy sometimes when you need a bolt or screw for a project as well.
As far as shipping scrap, unless you have literally tons of it you will likely lose money shipping it. That is unless you are talking about shipping e-waste items such as motherboards and ram etc.

IF you are going to a scrap yard anyway yes save the screws they buy them, also when I first started a guy at the yard was a pain in the a would look over every piece of aluminum I brought in so I saved the screws and put them on the scale he did not look over my stuff as much after that!
