Calling crapcast when you own the hardware, I am surprised they offered any support at all.

Just because it's a "pick-up" laptop, doesn't mean its bad, I have not bought any computer equipment in over 7 years and I'm working on a 4th gen I7 for a desktop and a 4th gen I5 for a laptop.
Comcrap did all they could, she had me go through and every setting was correct.. she even gave me Microsoft's phone #, Doubt I'll go to that level. May just wait to get a nicer "pick-up laptop" and hope it functions a bit better than this one.
I appreciate all the input folks, looks like this one may just be too much work. The lady at Comcast support even said "you should be able to plug it into your Ethernet (as your desktop is) laptop should recognize your network and you should be able to go.. but something in the hardware isn't right with it.
