What mine told me was all those flat chips on them is what made for a higher price paid. I remove all alum/copper windings and if they have a lot of chips I still get a decent price on them. Otherwise I get like 30 cents a pound but some he buys for up to a buck a piece. but, hes the only one that buys them out of the 3 places I turn in so somewhere by you might be different in what they want.
