    Fiber Optic Cable

Is there any recycle value to fiber optic cable? I have an opportunity to bid on quite a lot of it in about a week. Most of it is on 5 large steel reels. So, the reels may be of more interest to me than the actual cable. But, I don't want to be stuck with a bunch of cable lying all over the place.

I've been checking the web and this site trying to find answers. But, I haven't found anything yet so I thought I'd ask.

    Thanks.

There is no metal involved, so I wouldn't think so. Except for the reels.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Don't buy them unless you can sweep them and look for damage. Even then, you would need a company to sell them to.

Other than that, worthless as far as scrap goes.

Thanks to everyone that responded. I am very interested in the steel reels the cable is on. But, that would be an awful lot of cable to be stuck with if I have no good way to dispose of it.

And that's why I've been deleting them. If you want to buy Fiber Optics, please put the offer in Classified or Buyer & Seller forums.
