So.... Yep, I drive a pickup around in neighborhoods where people clearly have more dollars than sense. Makes for some pretty sweet CurbCo at times.

I am a full time mechanic, part time scrapper but all the ewaste recently has turned me into a computer tech again, seems when i am out picking up computers people ask if i work on them too and when i tell them i do i can usually make at least twice as much fixing there other computers as i do on the scrap ones. Word has also gotten around and i have got a few strictly repair calls which i enjoy, i charge about the same as i would for a "moonlight" auto repair but i dont have to get cold or dirty.

Was a Welder sheet metal fabricator then switched to Banking and now a Machinist Helper.

Spare time regular scrapping and E-waste business to make money.

Still looking for that permanent position in the work force.

Looking to get into repairing computers, and starting more business opportunities in sheet metal fab, auto repair just the basics, all at my house. I've got some nice equipment, but need a lot more.

Brake Press, Shear, Punch, some real MIG and TIG welders, not H.F. stuff, and whatever else I can stuff in the garage.

Bought/Started and sold over 10 businesses, mostly internet turnkey businesses.

I love internet businesses, more than anything else, as your potential customer database is unlimited!

There is a particular website I visit from time to time, to see what is selling, for how much, and how much revenue it is generating. Haven't really bought any in the last 6 years though, since I been doing Real Estate Investing and Junk Hauling.

I prefer to do stuff that benefits everyone involved, and not just myself.

The only company that I have ever started and not made money from is my auction website, but when you don't really do nothing to advertise, what do you expect?

Aside from that, I will do small transportation jobs, and fix certain things for family and friends that break.

Are you using business cards??? Need something for them to remember you by.
I had a guy contact me from 5 months ago and he's telling me when it warms up a little that he has a polebarn full of scrap to haul in and about 17 tractor batteries. I'm gonna offer him a % for the scrap for remembering me.

well if i didn't suck so much at poker, i would still be doing that. played small stakes online for a living from 2004-2011. when the government shut down online poker nearly 2 years ago was the start of my downfall. live poker is totally different and i failed at the transition.
currently scrap is my only income but unless i figure out how to make more soon then i will be applying for work somewhere.

I work fulltime at a state forensics hospital.......yep, thats where all the crazy murderers go! I work the females and since I am 6'5, 280, and strong as an ox, I can keep them in line pretty well. The mens unit they want to challenge me ALL the time and lose. LOL! Except the stupid chomos. Also get full VA disability and am in the process of getting my recycling business up full time so I can quit working with the loons!

I work for a cable company as a main line tech. I'm required to be on call several times a month and have been unable to work a second job due to not being able to find a job that could work around my on call schedule. Scrapping on the side accommodates that schedule.

I run a small business repairing business telephones. People ship phones to me, I repair them and ship them back. I also buy, refurbish and sell them. I got into scrapping when I found out the boards in all the obsolete and non repairable phones where mid to high grade. I hate to tell you how many pounds of boards I have tossed over the years. Not only that but every phone we repair gets a new handset cord and I had no idea the old one we threw away where worth anything. When the economy tanked there was a lot of used equipment from businesses that closed so the price of used phone dropped. You could buy a used phone on ebay for less then we had to charge for repair on some of the phones. At one time My brother and I had 3 full time employees and 2 part time. Now it is just me and a part time shipper receiver and my 2 sons help when I need it.
