    Transporting Batteries

Does anyone know if there are EPA or DOT requirements for transporting batteries? I would imagine it is above a certain weight or quantity.

    TIA,
    Reelman

    Inter- or intra- state?
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

No, it has to do with whether you are the "generator" (user/owner) or "transporter".

Then check your State statutes for storing and transporting hazardous waste. For interstate transport and Intrastate highways that are controlled by EPA and DOT (technically all roadways, but...), check this out: http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text....0.1.1.3.4.1.1

Cop "oo ok..well have a good day sir, good to know I don't have to take them in as evidence"

Guy could own a salvage yard and taking his batteries to the scrap yard. He's still "generator". Then it's a matter of how long he took to accumulate those batteries.
